DR BR AMBEDKAR OPEN UNIVERSITY DISTANCE EDUCATION
Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University Distance Education (BRAOU), previously known as Andhra Pradesh Open University, is situated in the city of Hyderabad. With a broad system of 206 study centers spread throughout the state of Andhra Pradesh, the University has for its slogan “Education at Your Doorstep”. The University, the foremost of its kind in the nation was brought into being through an act of Andhra Pradesh State Legislature in August,1982.
The University is broadly structured into Schools and Centres, most of which are now functional. The idea is to focus on areas of knowledge and professional specialisations which are relevant to our context yet are not being given enough emphasis by other universities in this part of the country.

Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University Distance Education learning trails a multi-media teaching-learning move towards which largely includes self-learning print material, maintained by audio, video lessons and standard transmit of lessons through All India Radio. From November, 1999 the University commenced Telecast of Video lessons through Doordarshan Regional Channel. On Sundays the University has Interactive Teleconferencing on the Regional Channel of Doordarshan.
Looking back at the attainments of the University throughout the last 2 decades, it has brought authenticity to the Open Learning system by preserving:

- Innovatively designing the scholar syllabus as Foundation Courses, foundation courses and Application-oriented programs

- Reaching out to the unreached through multiple media including broadcast and telecast modes
- Enhancing the interactivity of training during live phone-in and teleconferencing
- Providing courses in 3 mediums of education – English, Telugu and Urdu
- Giving hands on teaching in laboratory perform for Science and Technology programs

MBA Finance Eligibility: Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University Distance Education the applicant should have cleared Bachelor Degree Examination of minimum 3 years period or graduates from related topics like Faculty of Engineering / Technology, Medicine, Pharmacy, Law and Architecture from any University acknowledged by UGC with a minimum 2 years of work practice at executive / supervisory status (50% marks in case of fresher); OR
Any operational person with a specialized qualification (i.e., CA / CMA / CWA / CS) with a minimum 2 years of work experience at executive / supervisory level or a fresher. AND
Such applicants shall submit a Service documentation certified by the present company, mentioning their designation, duration of service, etc. additional, a No Objection Certificate (NOC) has to be produced from such company (Not required in case of a fresher).
Course Fee: INR12150/- per semester have to be paid by the candidate as course fee.
